Macron proposed to detain tankers with alleged oil from the Russian Federation at sea

On October 2, French President Emmanuel Macron proposed detaining tankers at sea in order to disrupt alleged oil supplies from Russia.

"You are killing the business model if you delay these vessels for days and weeks, force them to organize the process differently and kill the effectiveness of this business model," he said at the opening of the European Political Community summit in Copenhagen.
