What time will the live broadcast be

Vladimir Putin's speech at the XXII annual meeting of the Valdai Club is scheduled for the afternoon of October 2, the presidential press secretary said yesterday.

Last year, his performance began at about 20:00 Moscow time and lasted more than three hours.

It is expected that this time the President's meeting with the forum participants will be intense and lengthy.

Where to watch the live broadcast on October 2

The broadcast of the Valdai Club meeting will be available on the main page of the Izvestia media holding.

It will also be available on popular domestic platforms such as Rutube, VKontakte, as well as on the Watch platform.

What will the president's speech be about at the Valdai

According to Dmitry Peskov, the president's speech at the Valdai discussion club will be deeply informative. According to him, Vladimir Putin's traditional speeches always provoke global discussion, and this time they are also expected to be in the spotlight of the world's media.

"This is his annual, traditional performance. Without exaggeration, he is eagerly awaited all over the world. As a rule, this presentation turns out to be very informative and is discussed and analyzed for a long time. We hope that it will be the same this time," the press secretary shared.

Peskov stressed that the topics of the speech always do not depend on the current political situation. The current concept of the forum — "Polycentric World: instructions for use" — will be discussed in detail during the speech. The issues of multipolarity, sovereignty and global security will be the main topics of discussion.

"If you want to understand what will be discussed there, then you need to familiarize yourself with the concept of the current meeting of the Valdai Club. <...>. This is a new system, what it is, what it will lead to, how it is better or worse, how to use it, how to live in a polycentric or multipolar system.. This is an obvious fact, but how to adapt to this new system. That's what they're talking about on the Valdai," Dmitry Peskov said.

He added that the Kremlin is analyzing the statements of American President Donald Trump with great attention.

In 2024, Vladimir Putin, in his speech at Valdai, noted the formation of a new world order and discussed the concept of a "polyphonic" world, as well as the role of BRICS. During his speech, Putin answered questions about the situation in Ukraine and his homeland, as well as events in the Middle East. He congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election and expressed hope for establishing contacts. Concluding his speech, Putin stressed that he does not seek to return Russia to the situation that existed before 2022, which he described as a covert intervention against the country.
