Russian tourists should refrain from visiting Madagascar until the situation in the country normalizes. This was announced on October 1 at the Russian Embassy in the republic.

"The embassy has strengthened internal security measures and issued recommendations to Russian citizens on the island to exercise caution and refrain from visiting crowded places, and to tourists planning a trip to the country to postpone it until the situation normalizes," the statement said.
