The state has sold its stake in Soyuzmultfilm film studio

The state has privatized the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, according to the explanatory note to the draft amendments to the budget law for 2025. It is expected that proceeds from the sale of property will increase federal budget revenues by 1.12 billion rubles, mainly due to the privatization of the studio. This was announced by RBC on September 30.

"We confirm the fact of privatization, but the details of the transaction contain information of limited access and are non—public," said a representative of Soyuzmultfilm.

According to Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of INFOLine Analytics, the studio's stake with the rights to the cartoon library is worth at least 1.2–1.3 billion rubles.
