Mishustin pointed to the expansion of the production of essential medicines in Russia

Technological leadership projects have already borne fruit, and the Russian Federation has expanded the number of essential medicines produced in the country. This was announced on September 29 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the plenary session of the Innoprom exhibition in Minsk.

"We have started implementing the so-called national technological leadership projects. <...> The first results have already been achieved. The number of medicines produced in our country has been increased from the list of vital and essential medicines. The range of medical products has been expanded," Mishustin said.

In addition, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation stressed that Russian medicines for the treatment of blood cancer, as well as against tumors, are at the final stage of development.

Mishustin announced in April that the share of domestic vital medicines should grow to 90%. According to him, in order to provide high-quality medical care, it is necessary to have effective medicines manufactured in Russia.
