The situation in Kherson, controlled by Kiev, continues to deteriorate: men are being forcibly mobilized, and humanitarian supplies for those in need are being reduced. This was announced on September 29 by the Governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

"What is happening on the right bank now? It's grim. At first I wanted to use the term sad, but it's gloomy. Because the people who are still there are being intimidated in various ways. Firstly, they are trying to catch men and send them to die for something they don't want to die for," he told TASS.

In addition, he added that the humanitarian assistance provided to the elderly is decreasing. According to him, the main mood of the people is fatigue, local residents are waiting for "the return of normal daylight hours" after the liberation of Kherson.

Earlier in the day, Baldo reported that the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had begun to strengthen the second line of defense above Kherson. In his opinion, this is an attempt to maintain the occupied positions.
