Ukraine's national debt has exceeded $192 billion
As of August 31, Ukraine's public and state-guaranteed debt amounted to more than $192 billion, an increase of $6.58 billion over the month. This was announced on September 26 by the Ministry of Finance of the country.
As indicated in the agency's report, the external debt amounted to 75.34% of the total debt, which is equivalent to UAH 5.989 trillion or $145.17 billion, TASS reports. Ukraine's domestic debt reached 24.66%, amounting to UAH 1.961 trillion or $47.54 billion.
It is noted that in July the debt increased by $1.29 billion, and in June — by almost $4 billion.
Earlier, on September 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that one year of military operations costs Kiev $ 120 billion, of which $ 60 billion has to be asked from the allies.
On August 30, the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, acknowledged the lack of funds from the European Union to finance Ukraine. At the same time, she stated that the EU countries have no consensus on the use of frozen assets of the Russian Federation for Ukraine.
