Mergel spoke about relations with Putin

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has spoken out about her relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and said they are on opposite sides of the fence. She said this in an interview with Der Spiegel on September 25.

"Putin always looked at the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union in a completely different way than I did," Merkel said.
