The narcologist pointed out the possible use of a nicotine pouch by Navrotsky.
The use of nicotine-containing products can cause oral diseases and digestive problems. This was stated on September 24 by narcologist Vasily Shurov in an interview. Life.ru commenting on the footage of Polish President Karol Nawrocki taking a stimulant substance, presumably a nicotine pouch, at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations (UN).
According to Shurov, these products are as addictive as smoking. However, unlike cigarettes, they do not harm the lungs, but the toxins contained in them act directly on the mucous membranes of the mouth and digestive tract. This can lead to gum erosion, ulcers, and tissue thinning due to vasoconstriction.
The narcologist noted that people who use such products often develop stomatitis, and teeth break down faster. The risk of diseases of the larynx, esophagus and intestines also increases.
"Navrotsky, apparently, has a strong addiction, because not everyone will use it in debates and in public places, after all, this is the number one person. A person does not consider it necessary to control himself, demonstrates his use," the specialist emphasized.
Shurov added that it is possible to refrain from this only if the person himself has a strong desire. Doctors can only help those who want to get rid of this habit with, for example, nicotine replacement therapy.
RMF24 TV channel reported on September 23 that footage of Navrotsky using a certain substance caused a violent reaction on social networks, whose users questioned the correctness of the Polish leader's participation in events such as the UN General Assembly. It was clarified that the person who gave Navrotsky the drug was 22-year-old Yakub Mentor, who helped the president with the election campaign.
