The FSB has blocked the channel of illegal migration in Kamchatka
Investigators have opened a criminal case against the organizers of illegal migration, who operated in Novosibirsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This was reported on September 23 in the press service of the Novosibirsk department of the FSB of Russia.
According to the investigation, the three suspects, who were in Russia illegally, issued fictitious patent payment documents for the visitors, which allowed foreigners to stay in the country longer than the prescribed period. These documents were used to work on construction sites in the Kamchatka Territory.
"The investigation of the security authorities has opened a criminal case against three members of the criminal group under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Organization of illegal migration committed by a group of persons by prior agreement")," the agency said in a statement, quoted by TASS.
Illegally legalized migrants have been placed in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens. A criminal case has been opened against them under Part 5 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("The use of a deliberately forged document").
Earlier, on August 11, six people were detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of illegally registering at least 5,000 foreigners for migration through hacked accounts on Gosuslugi. It was clarified that they earned about 20 million rubles on their act.
