Deputy Pevtsov announced the loss of Pugacheva's authority
Dmitry Pevtsov, People's Artist of Russia and State Duma deputy, expressed the opinion in an interview with RIA Novosti on September 22 that Alla Pugacheva had been forgotten in the country and had already ceased to be respected.
"I didn't watch her interview, I have more interesting things to do. In my opinion, this woman has long been forgotten, and those who once remembered and respected her have already stopped doing this," Pevtsov said.
On September 18, lawyer Mikhail Berandze told Izvestia that Pugacheva could face criminal charges after her interview in which the actress positively characterized the first president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). Dzhokhar Dudaev.
Earlier, on September 16, the head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption, Vitaly Borodin, announced the start of collecting signatures against Pugacheva, who is accused of treason. The authors of the petition stated that the singer justified terrorist acts and expressed support for Dudaev. A day earlier, lawyer Alexander Treshchev filed a lawsuit against Pugacheva to recover 1.5 billion rubles in compensation for moral damage after making statements about Dudaev.
