- The Interior Ministry warned about the possible theft of data by fraudsters after ordering pizza
Scammers can find the digital footprint of Russians after one pizza order. This was reported on September 22 in the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
As RIA Novosti notes, if a person is not active on social media, this does not guarantee the protection of personal data. Currently, the digital footprint includes more than just social media.
"If you have ordered pizza at least once or are registered on at least one website, then the data can get to intruders," the materials say.
According to the agency, scammers are interested in each person's data, as they can use it to deceive the victim's friends and family. It is clarified that any account on the black market has its own value.
Irina Volk, a representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, warned on September 16 about a fraudulent scheme in which criminals send fake documents or disturbing messages, forcing citizens to urgently call them first. Also, scammers, according to Volk, believe that the person who called them sincerely trusts the interlocutor who offered help and it is much easier to deceive him.
