- Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea called it an honor to be included in the sanctions list of Ukraine
Albert Kurshutov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea, said on September 21 that he considered it an honor and pride to be on Ukraine's sanctions list.
"I am proud and honored to be on this list. This is a list of Russian patriots who are following the right path and working for the benefit of the Russian Crimea. We will continue to move in this direction," Kurshutov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, inclusion in the sanctions lists in practice has no consequences.
"I personally do not have any assets on the territory of Ukraine or awards. They can't really implement anything of what is written there," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
On September 20, a decree on the imposition of sanctions against 96 people was published on the official website of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Among them was Albert Kurshutov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean government. The sanctions involve the blocking of assets and the deprivation of state awards, clarifies "Газета.Ru ".
On July 20, Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on a number of citizens of Russia and Ukraine. The sanctions list includes Russians Yulia Latynina (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) and Tatiana Aksenenko. Among the citizens of Ukraine, former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada Natalia Korolevskaya and Gennady Balashov, as well as blogger Andrei Serebryansky, were placed under restrictions.
