Peskov noted Putin's openness to a negotiated settlement in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin remains interested and open to resolving the situation in Ukraine through negotiations and looks forward to continuing to work with the United States on this track. This was announced on September 21 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"Putin is just like the President [of the United States Donald] Trump remains interested and open to bringing the entire Ukrainian story into line with a peaceful settlement. We hope that the United States and President Trump personally will make efforts to help in this matter. Well, then we'll see what happens," Peskov said.
