Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik presented his free skate program at the 2026 Olympic Games qualifying tournament on September 21.
The 23-year-old athlete plans to perform a quadruple flip, lutz and Rittberger solo, Salchow in a cascade with a triple toe loop, as well as a sequence of salchow and two double axels.
The men's free skate at the Olympic qualifying tournament will be held on Sunday, September 21. The five strongest figure skaters in the sum of two programs will qualify for the 2026 Olympics, Sport-Express adds.
On September 20, the International Skating Union (ISU) published the list of participants in the qualifying tournament for figure skaters for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Among the Russian skaters, Adelia Petrosyan and Peter Gumennik were allowed to qualify for the qualifying tournament, with Alina Gorbacheva and Vladislav Dikidzhi as substitutes. At the same time, it became known that Humennik was in the lead after the short program at the Olympic qualification tournament in Beijing. He scored 93.80 points for his rental.
