On September 20, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called on France to withdraw from the North Atlantic Alliance because of Estonia's lies about the alleged violation of its airspace by Russian MiG-31 fighters.

"Another false information to incite war and stoke panic! This time Estonia <...>. The same thing happened with drones, false reports about jamming the GPS signal of Ursula's plane, sabotage of the Nord Streams by the Russians, and so on. We will leave the EU and NATO, we will destroy these military structures!" he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

On September 19, the Estonian Foreign Ministry accused Russia of the fact that three MiG-31 fighter jets allegedly invaded the country's airspace. In turn, the head of diplomacy of the European Union (EU), Kaya Kallas, stated that she was in contact with Tallinn. On the same day, Estonia requested consultations from NATO member countries in connection with the incident. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry denied the violation of Estonian airspace by Russian aircraft.

Later, US President Donald Trump said that he did not like the incident. According to the American leader, he will soon be given a briefing on the situation.
