The accusations against Russia of attempts at provocation and deliberate escalation in connection with the drone incident in Poland are unfounded. This was announced on September 19 by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova.

"And this time, the accusations against Russia of attempts at provocation and deliberate escalation are, as usual, unfounded. No specific circumstances have been given regarding the malice attributed to our country," she was quoted as saying on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Zakharova stressed that the haste with which Poland blamed Moscow and the categorical rejection of the consultations proposed by the Russian Defense Ministry indicate the complete lack of interest of the West in establishing the real picture of the incident.

The accusations of European countries in violating airspace allegedly by Russian drones are aimed at disrupting the conflict settlement process in Ukraine, and the members of the "coalition of the willing", by supplying drones to Kiev, become accomplices in crimes.

On September 10, the Operational Command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces (RFA) reported on the defeat of several drones by the Polish military that violated the airspace of the state. Later, Reuters, citing sources in NATO, said that the alliance did not regard the incident with the drone in Poland as an attack.

In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Poland's baseless accusations against Russia against the background of the drone incident are part of the anti-Russian rhetoric familiar to Europe.
