Trump expressed hope for good news on the settlement in Ukraine
On September 18, US President Donald Trump expressed hope for good news regarding the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
He noted that he considers himself obliged to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine.
"I hope that we will have good news for you soon. But, again, it doesn't affect the United States that much. And — listen — it doesn't affect you (the UK) that much. Of course, you are much closer to the epicenter than we are. There's a whole ocean between us. But I want to say this: millions of people have died in this conflict, millions of souls, and these are not Americans. And soldiers, mostly soldiers, as you know, are dying in such numbers that the world has not seen since the Second World War. They are being killed, and I feel obligated to settle this issue for that reason," Trump said at a press conference in Britain, where he had previously arrived on an official visit.
