The digital ruble is absolutely reliable, it is very interesting for the budget process, in particular for its transparency. This was announced on September 18 by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

"The digital ruble is absolutely reliable, it works without commercial banks in fact. All accounts are in the Central Bank, so they are 100% reliable," Siluanov told reporters on the sidelines of the 10th Moscow Financial Forum (IFF).

In addition, he noted that the digital ruble is interesting for the budget process, as it will be monitored at a high level.

The day before, Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, announced that he had become the first Russian to receive a salary in digital rubles.
