Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Emin Sefershayev is preparing to fly to his homeland, he was supposed to compete at the World Championships in Croatia, but due to visa problems he could be deported from the country. This was announced on September 16 at the headquarters of the national team.

"Emin flew in, came for accreditation with the team, then to the hotel. And then they came for him <...> He flew to Croatia legally, the visa was obtained on August 27, then information came that it had been revoked with a clause that excluded legal protection. <...> As a result, the police escorted Sefershayev to the police station, from where he was to be escorted to the city of Yezhov, where he is located a camp for displaced persons and where the reigning European champion was supposed to await deportation," the headquarters said.
