Evgeny Solodilin, the former CEO of Zhukovsky Airport and Red Wings Airlines, is negotiating the purchase of the Volga-Dnepr Group of companies.

According to Kommersant, Evraz Avia Service LLC (in which Solodilin is the CEO) and Volga-Dnepr have signed a preliminary agreement under which all three airlines of the group (Volga-Dnepr, Atran and AirBridgeCargo), as well as Volga-Dnepr subsidiaries, will be transferred to the buyer. Technix and Volga-Dnepr Engineering.

The EAC Group confirmed the information about the negotiations, but did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

Until 2022, the Volga-Dnepr Group was one of the largest in the global market of air transportation of superheavy and oversized cargo. After that, she was sanctioned by a number of countries, including the United States, which led to a crisis in the company.

Earlier, on July 30, Red Wings Airline came under the control of another Rostec structure, Aviakapital-Service leasing company. It was also clarified that Igor Zavyalov, Deputy CEO of Rostec, was elected as the new chairman of the Red Wings Board of Directors.
