Putin noted the influence of the media on spiritual, moral and value orientations
In his welcoming telegram to the participants of the XXIX All Russia 2025 Forum of Modern Journalism, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of the media in shaping public opinion and spiritual and moral guidelines. The text of the telegram was published on September 16 on the Kremlin's website.
"The mass media largely set spiritual, moral, and value orientations, and shape public opinion," Putin said.
The Russian President stressed that adherence to journalistic ethics, promptness and reliability in covering important events are the main principles that make the media an important tool for society. He also expressed confidence that the forum would be held at a high level, and the proposals put forward by the participants would be in demand in the future.
On June 19, Putin informed the participants of the XIX General Assembly of the Organization of Asian and Pacific News Agencies that objective information is in demand to strengthen trust and mutual understanding between the countries. He also noted that the largest association of news agencies has been creating a significant part of the global news stream for many years and has attracted the attention of an audience of millions.
