Polish President Karol Nawrocki has signed an agreement for NATO troops to stay in the country. This was reported on September 14 on the website of the Polish National Security Bureau.

"Karol Nawrocki has signed a decision to grant consent for the stay of foreign troops of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization member states on the territory of the Republic of Poland as a reinforcement of the Republic of Poland within the framework of Operation Vostochny Sentinel," the statement said.

On September 12, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the launch of the Eastern Guard initiative to strengthen the defense of the alliance's member countries. The operation will involve elements that are aimed at solving special tasks related to the use of drones. Rutte added that the initiative will be conducted with the participation of many allies of the North Atlantic Alliance, including Denmark, France, Britain and Germany.

On September 13, the General Staff of the Polish Army announced that the implementation of the NATO Operation Eastern Guard had begun. The aircraft delivered weapons for Rafale fighters that are already in Poland.
