Hamburg police seized more than 400 kg of cocaine from drug couriers

More than 400 kg of cocaine was seized by police officers of the German city of Hamburg from two drug couriers in the city's port. This was reported on September 14 by Tagesschau.

It is noted that the first two suspicious men loading sports bags into a van at the terminal were noticed by dockworkers, who alerted security forces and were able to detain the driver even before the police arrived. The second drug courier managed to escape, but was later also detained by police officers at the terminal, where he hid under one of the trucks.

According to the newspaper, during a search of the van, officers found more than 20 sports bags with white powder, which turned out to be cocaine. The weight of the narcotic substance was more than 400 kg.

Earlier, on July 13, in Germany, police officers seized a shipment of the drug captagon weighing more than 300 kg worth over € 20 million. The drugs were in bottles that were in containers of oilseeds in a vegetable warehouse in Saxony-Anhalt.
