Polish military raised aircraft due to UAV activity in Ukraine
The Polish military has lifted aircraft into the sky due to the activity of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the border areas of Ukraine. This was announced on September 13 by the operational command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces.
"Due to the threat of strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the areas bordering the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, military aircraft have begun operating in our airspace. To ensure the safety of our airspace, the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces has used all necessary procedures. Polish and allied aircraft are operating in our airspace, and ground—based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached their maximum degree of readiness," the statement said.
