Putin has updated the program for the resettlement of compatriots to Russia
Compatriots — citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Ukraine, as well as repatriates — can participate in the program without mandatory proof of proficiency in Russian. This was announced on September 12 by the migration service of the Russian Interior Ministry.
It is specified that the relevant changes were approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the State Program to promote the voluntary resettlement of compatriots in the Russian Federation.
"We are exempt from the obligation to confirm proficiency in the Russian language in order to participate in the state program: compatriots who were citizens of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova or Ukraine; repatriates who wish to participate in this program in a general manner," the Telegram channel says.
The right to participate in the program was also expanded for those who were born and previously lived in the territories of the new regions of the Russian Federation. Russian Russian language proficiency can now be confirmed not only with a certificate, but also with educational documents "at a branch of an educational organization of higher education located in Russia or under the joint jurisdiction of Russia and a foreign state, where education was conducted in Russian."
