A single voting day has begun in Russia
Elections for governors, heads of regional parliaments, and other officials have begun in some regions of Russia. Voting started on September 12 and will end on September 14.
For all time, 20 heads of regions, as well as 11 deputies of legislative assemblies, heads of municipalities and deputies in city and village councils will be elected.
In total, more than 5,000 election campaigns will be conducted, which will be attended by about 55 million people. In addition, about 20 million voters in 24 regions will be able to participate in remote electronic voting (DEG).
The elections will last all three days in 37 regions of Russia, in one more — two days, and in the rest it will be held only on September 14.
Elections are also not scheduled this year in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, as well as in Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
On September 12, Inga Irinina, Chairman of the Election Commission of the Kamchatka Territory, announced that 178 polling stations had opened in the region as part of the ongoing elections for the governor of the Kamchatka Territory, which will be held from September 12 to 14. According to her, citizens will be able to vote for gubernatorial candidates for all three days by going to their polling station.
