In Albania, artificial intelligence was appointed a minister in the government

Albania has become the first country in the world to appoint artificial intelligence (AI) to the post of Minister of State. This was reported on September 11 by the Albanian Gazeta Tema, citing a statement by the country's Prime Minister Edi Ram.

"Albania declares that it will become the first country to appoint a non-physical artificial intelligence minister in the government, since Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the composition of the new cabinet," the article says.

According to the newspaper, an AI named Diella will be responsible for government procurement. To support the AI Minister, a special unit will be created that will implement neural networks in other government agencies, ensuring transparency and honesty of tenders.

Previously, this AI model was used as a virtual assistant on the government portal e-Albania, concluded Rama.

On September 7, Andrey Kladov, a recruitment expert and director of the Migrant Service platform, named a number of working professions that will remain relevant despite the transformation of the market under the influence of AI. They are builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians, firefighters, and drivers in difficult conditions (truckers working on roads with poor pavement or limited visibility).
