Finland beat Georgia and reached the semi-finals of the Eurobasket for the first time in history.

The Finnish national team defeated the Georgian team in the quarterfinals of the European Basketball Championship, which allowed it to reach the semifinals of the tournament for the first time in its history. The game took place on September 10th.

Previously, the Finnish team's best result was sixth place at the Eurobasket in 1967.
