Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has resumed operations. This was announced on September 10 at the Russian Embassy in Nepal.

"The aviation authorities of Nepal have announced the reopening of the International Airport. Tribhuvana from 15:30 (12:45 Moscow time. — Ed.) of today," the Telegram channel says.

The diplomatic mission recommended clarifying flight information from airline support services.

Earlier, on September 9, the Russian Embassy announced the closure of all airports in Nepal until 00:00 local time on September 11. At that time, it was assumed that the restrictions could be extended in the future.

On September 8, the Nepalese authorities imposed a ban on the activities of a number of large social networks that did not register with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on time. In this regard, mass protests began, 22 people were killed and about 5020 injured during the protests. Alexander Ivashev, press attache at the Russian Embassy in Kathmandu, told Izvestia that Russians were not among the victims.
