More than 250 cases of child disappearances were recorded in Russia over the summer.

In the period from June to August 2025, 253 cases of disappearance of children were registered in various regions of Russia. This is reported by "Gazeta.Ru" with a link to the data of the project "Help in finding children", launched by the team of the application "Where are my children".

Of the missing, 227 children were found alive, 15 died, and 11 more minors remain wanted.In June, 87 cases of disappearance were recorded, in July — 82, in August — 84. Most of the missing children were registered in the Primorsky Territory — 60 cases, in the Kaliningrad region — 26, in the Sverdlovsk region — 19 and in Kuzbass — 13.

According to the Association "Search for Missing Children", the work of volunteers begins with the receipt of a missing person's report. All appeals are carefully checked for their authenticity and whether an application has been submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

After that, the coordinator decides what actions need to be taken and coordinates them with the police. Volunteers receive tasks through the notification system and quickly take action, for example, inspect premises or walk around the streets.
