Germany will launch a new initiative to support long-range strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territories of the Russian Federation and finance the production of long-range drones (UAVs) in Ukraine in the amount of € 300 million. This was announced on September 9 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

"Germany is launching a new initiative on deep-impact strikes and will strengthen support for the purchase of long-range drones jointly with the Ukrainian defense industry. As part of this initiative, we are concluding a number of contracts with Ukrainian enterprises totaling €300 million," he said during a press conference after the Ramstein Group meeting in London, which was broadcast by Sky News.

Pistorius noted that the contracts involve the supply of thousands of long-range UAVs of various types produced in Ukraine.
