Residents of a house that caught fire in the southwest of Moscow on September 9 reported that an explosion sound was heard before the fire started.

"Locals heard a powerful bang in the apartment on the fourth floor at about 02:00," Pavel Ponomarev, a correspondent for Izvestia, said.

In addition, he added that one of the walls of the house had partially collapsed. According to him, specialists are working inside one of the apartments. They are clearing up rubble and shedding ceilings to eliminate the possibility of fire.

On the same day, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that two apartments had caught fire in an apartment building in the southwest of the capital. Firefighters evacuated 48 residents, 68 specialists and 22 pieces of equipment worked to eliminate the fire. As a result of the fire, three people were injured, including one child.
