Grossi ruled out strikes on Iran in case of the presence of an IAEA inspection
The full resumption of inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Iran will reduce the likelihood of military strikes on the country's nuclear facilities. This was announced on September 8 by the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi.
According to him, if the IAEA starts conducting inspections in Iran, it will help reduce the risks of military action. Grossi also stressed that the presence of inspectors at nuclear facilities would not create a threat of information leaks that could be used against the Islamic Republic.
"I honestly think that if the IAEA resumes its activities in Iran with full inspections, the likelihood of further military action [against Iran] will be lower," Grossi said at a press conference after the opening of the regular session of the Board of Governors, quoted by TASS.
Earlier, on August 27, Grossi announced that he was committed to maintaining constructive relations with Iran. At the same time, according to him, the IAEA is not yet satisfied with the country's cooperation with international inspectors.
