The Belarusian Foreign Ministry protested to the Charge d'affaires of Poland
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus summoned the Charge d'affaires of Poland and strongly protested to him in connection with the commission of an act of espionage by a Polish citizen. The relevant information was published on the website of the diplomatic agency on September 5.
In response to the incident in which Polish citizen Grzegorz Havel committed an act of espionage, a corresponding note was handed to the Polish diplomat.
"The Polish diplomat was told that Warsaw's actions were unacceptable, which grossly violate the principles of good—neighborliness and cause serious damage to bilateral relations," the Belarusian side said in a statement.
The ministry also stressed that the incident will be subjected to a legal assessment. Belarus demanded that Poland refrain from actions threatening national security and return to the generally accepted forms of interstate communication.
The arrest of the Polish spy became known on September 4. At that time, Polish citizen Grzegos Havel was found to have an eight-page A4 printout. This document, as it turned out, is a photocopy of materials on the Belarusian-Russian military exercises Zapad-2025 and is classified.
