A suspect in the murder of a young woman has been detained in the Krasnodar Territory. This was announced on September 2 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

A few days ago, a local resident contacted the Ust-Labinsk city police with a missing person's 36-year-old daughter, who left home in her car and did not return.

The investigative authorities opened a criminal case and began operational search activities. During the investigation, the police found out that her 51-year-old acquaintance living in Ust-Labinsk may be involved in the disappearance of the woman.

"However, he did not appear at the residential address. All these days he was hiding in the forest, and yesterday he came home to get groceries and things," said the Wolf.

The press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Krasnodar Territory also provided details of the incident.

"On August 21, a man approached the car of a woman who was at a market in the city of Ust-Labinsk and asked him for a ride. During the trip, the defendant asked to turn into the area of the Ust-Labinsk sewage treatment plant, where he stabbed the woman with a knife in the area of vital organs," the department's Telegram channel reported.

It is also noted that the suspect got rid of the woman's phones and personal belongings on the way, and in the morning returned to the crime scene, drove the car into a wooded area, where the car was later found by local residents. He also buried the woman's body there.

At the moment, the detainee has been transferred to the investigative authorities for further investigation. It is known that the man confessed to the crime.
