- Sergey Kiriyenko spoke about the new exhibition "Regions-2030. The Platform of the Future"
The new exhibition "Regions-2030. The Platform of the Future, which opened on Monday at the Rossiya National Center, will show everything that the subjects of the Russian Federation are proud of. This was announced on September 1 by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
"There is so much to show from each of the Russian regions, what they are proud of, what surprises, amazes and delights. And it is so important to share this pride — your history, your present and your future. Therefore, now, by the decision of the President [of Russia Vladimir Putin], the new season is being launched at the Rossiya National Center so that each region represented here has more than one day, but at least such an honest, full—fledged week when you can show everything that the region is proud of," Kiriyenko said at the opening of the exhibition..
The first participants of the exhibition were seven subjects of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Dagestan, whose week starts on September 2, the Chelyabinsk, Tula, Voronezh and Amur Regions, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and the Jewish Autonomous Region.
Kiriyenko noted that the Platform of the Future exhibition highlights the importance of people, who are the main value of each region, along with its history and natural resources.
"[The exhibition is being held] so that each region has the opportunity to tell not only about history, not only about today, but also to show where the region is moving and developing, what plans, what development programs. It is interesting for the residents of the region, it is interesting for all residents of Russia," he stressed.
Kiriyenko added that the exhibition is also important for the people of the world, because in a little more than a month, the international symposium "Creating the Future" will be held at the Rossiya National Center, which will be attended by representatives of a large number of different countries.
The AP Deputy Chairman also recalled the popularity of Pavilion 75 at VDNH, where all Russian regions were represented.
Earlier in the day, the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) published a study according to which nine out of ten Russians are proud of the country's history, culture and natural resources. Thus, 61% of Russian citizens noted that their sense of pride in the country has increased over the past year. Russians cite the achievements and wealth of the country (49%), as well as the people and their qualities (39%) as the main reasons for the growth of pride.
