Putin noted Turkey's contribution to the conflict settlement process in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Turkey will continue to play a special role in the Ukrainian settlement.

"We are grateful to our Turkish friends for their significant contribution to the political and diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. Since May of this year (2025 — Ed.), three rounds of direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations have already taken place on the Istanbul site, which have made it possible to advance in resolving a number of practical issues in the humanitarian field," he said at a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
