Moscow football club FC Lokomotiv drew with Samara Krylia Sovetov in the match of the seventh round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The match took place on August 31 in Moscow and ended with a score of 2:2.

Dmitry Vorobyov (3rd minute) and Dmitry Barinov (44th minute) scored for the hosts, while Amar Rakhmanovich (53rd minute) and Vadim Rakov (90+6, from the penalty spot) scored for the guests. In the fifth compensated minute of the second half, referee Sergey Karasev sent off Lokomotiv striker Nikolai Komlichenko for a second yellow card; the player's goal a minute earlier was canceled.

Lokomotiv scored 15 points and topped the RPL standings, continuing to go undefeated in the season. Krylia Sovetov is on the eighth line with 10 points.

In the next round, Lokomotiv will play away against Akhmat Grozny on September 13, and Krylia Sovetov will host Sochi the next day.

On August 28, Lokomotiv beat Tolyatti Akron in the group stage match of the Russian Cup. The winning team featured strikers Nikolay Kolmichenko (12th minute) and Dmitry Vorobyov, who was able to convert a penalty in the 71st minute of the match. In addition, Tolyatti club player Konstantin Maradashvili received a red card during the meeting. Akron also did not include forward Artem Dzyuba in the application for the match.
