Poland deported 15 Ukrainians for security reasons
The Polish Border Guard Service has expelled 15 Ukrainian citizens from the country, each of whom had several criminal records and posed a threat to security and public order. This was reported on August 31 on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Administration of Poland.
It is specified that the violators were forcibly taken to the border and handed over to the Ukrainian side. According to the publication, each of them had criminal records for possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
They were also convicted of theft, robbery, forgery of documents, driving under the influence of alcohol and organizing illegal crossing of the Polish border. One of the foreigners was included in the list of undesirable persons in Poland.
"Poland is a friendly and open country for foreigners. However, there is no consent and there will never be consent for them to violate the law, regardless of their country of origin. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration will respond decisively to any violations of our law and order," said department spokeswoman Karolina Galetskaya.
According to the ministry, since the beginning of this year, 1.1 thousand foreigners have forcibly left Poland, who violated the country's legislation. It is emphasized that appropriate measures are being taken solely for security purposes.
Earlier, on August 29, Polish police officers arrested a Ukrainian citizen for posting threats on a social network to set fire to houses amid the cancellation of social benefits for unemployed Ukrainians. It was clarified that the man would be charged under Article 255 of the Polish Criminal Code ("Dissemination or publication of content that may contribute to the commission of a terrorist crime"). The police also contacted the border service in order to organize the deportation of the Ukrainian.
