The World Boxing Organization (WBO) will launch an investigation into Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, after a video appeared on social media showing the Ukrainian boxer dancing and playing football. This was announced on August 30 by the Boxing Scene portal.

Earlier, Usyk asked to postpone the fight with the mandatory challenger, New Zealander Joseph Parker, due to back problems. However, after the video of the athlete's active actions appeared, the WBO expressed its intention to conduct a second medical examination of Usyk before September 1. The organization stressed that they expect a detailed medical report, which should confirm the boxer's current state of health.

"The Committee cannot allow further delays or uncertainties without satisfactory explanations. Failure to comply with this request will leave the committee with no alternative but to take appropriate action in accordance with the rules and regulations of the WBO," the organization said in a statement.

Usyk, who is 38 years old, holds the WBO, WBA (with the prefix "super"), WBC and IBF world titles. In the professional ring, he won 24 victories (15 by knockout) and did not suffer a single defeat.

On July 20, it was reported that Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usyk defeated British Daniel Dubois by knockout in the fifth round in a duel for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. The fight took place at Wembley Stadium in London.
