In the city of Evreux in northern France, one person was killed and five were injured as a result of an allegedly deliberate car crash into a crowd that arose after a conflict in a bar. This was reported by the newspaper Le Figaro on Saturday, August 30.

"The man went to get the car <...> and deliberately reversed at high speed into the crowd near the establishment," the article says.

It is noted that the incident occurred after an argument between several people in a wine bar.

One man died on the spot, five victims were hospitalized, two of them are in critical condition. Two people in the car and one other person were arrested and taken into custody. The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case into the murder and attempted murder, while ruling out terrorist, racist or other motives.

A car drove into a crowd on July 19 in Los Angeles. Later it became known about 37 victims of the incident. The man who ran over people was charged with 74 counts. The state prosecution emphasizes that the man intentionally drove onto the sidewalk at about two o'clock in the morning. As a result of the incident, eight people were seriously injured. It is specified that if he is found guilty of the charges, he faces several life sentences in prison.
