A resident of Tver changed his last name three times to avoid paying off loans.
In Tver, police officers detained a man who changed his last name, first name and patronymic three times in order not to pay loans. This was announced on August 29 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tver region.
"A representative of the bank addressed the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Tver. <...> According to the applicant, the bank's clients applied for loans, but did not make mandatory payments," the Telegram channel says.
The department noted that during the inspection it turned out that all the cases were related to one person who applied for loans and made purchases through the bank's online service using new passport data.
It is specified that the defendant changed his last name, first name and patronymic three times. The total damage to the bank exceeded 342 thousand rubles. The last name he chose had an unusual sound — Free.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").
On August 29, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, Irina Volk, reported. that suspects of embezzlement of 20 million rubles were detained in Moscow under the pretext of employment on large crypto exchanges. Several criminal cases were initiated in accordance with Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). At the moment, the detainees have been charged.
