The Ural Airlines plane returned to Sochi for a technical reason
The Ural Airlines Airbus A321, operating flight U6-378 en route from Sochi to Moscow, was forced to return to the departure airport due to a technical malfunction, previously the failure of one of the engines. This was announced on August 29 by the press service of the airline in the Telegram channel.
"The Airbus A321 returned to the airport of departure due to a technical reason, previously, the failure of one of the engines. Thanks to the professional and coordinated actions of the crew, the landing was completed safely," the message says.
The company added that a backup plane had been sent from Sochi, and the flight to Moscow was postponed to 6:45 Moscow time. There were 219 people on board, they were provided with hot meals and accommodated in hotels.
As the press service of Ural Airlines later clarified to RIA Novosti, the reserve flight took off for Moscow at 7:14 Moscow time.
Earlier, on August 12, a Borey amphibious light aircraft made a hard landing in the waters of the Tom River in the Kemerovo region. It was clarified that the aircraft was performing a private flight. Then the prosecutor's office organized a check on the incident.
