Comic book creator Mort Todd has died at the age of 64.

The creator of Marvel comics, Dark Horse, and Fantagraphics, Mort Todd (Michael Delle Femine), has died at the age of 63. This was announced on August 25 by the First Comics News portal.

"Mort Todd <...> died suddenly at his home in Portland, Maine," the publication says.

First Comics News notes that Mort Todd was a writer, artist, editor, and publisher. He gained fame as the editor-in-chief of Cracked magazine in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

"Todd was a creative force who filled the long-running humor magazine with new energy, working with veteran artists and nurturing new talent," the portal writes.

In addition to his work at Cracked, Todd has also collaborated with well-known publishers such as Marvel, Dark Horse, and Fantagraphics. He wrote stories, created issue covers and editorial materials. Todd has also worked on music, film, and multimedia projects.

According to First Comics News, a small private memorial service will be held. Todd's farewell will take place with his family.
