A scandal broke out in Poland over the law of Navrotsky on assistance to Ukrainians
A conflict is growing in Poland between the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the office of President Karol Nawrocki on the issue of assistance to Ukrainian refugees. This was reported on August 27 by the newspaper "Strana".
"The conflict over Ukraine between the Tusk government and President Navrotsky is escalating in Poland," the article says.
Minister of Digital Technologies Krzysztof Havkowski, in turn, accused the Polish leader of allegedly "supporting Russian imperialism" in Ukraine, which was the result of the president's veto on assistance to unemployed Ukrainian refugees.
The speaker of the Polish president, Rafal Leshkevich, called the relevant accusations "hysteria," adds "Газета.Ru ".
On July 16, the Polish Sejm approved changes to the program of assistance to Ukrainian refugees, according to which, from November 1, the Collective Refugee Accommodation Centers (OZZ) will accept only representatives of protected groups from Ukraine. These groups include pensioners, pregnant women, and people with disabilities.
Later, on August 25, Navrotsky vetoed a bill implying the extension of special status and benefits for refugees from Ukraine. The Polish leader also proposed limiting the access of unemployed Ukrainian refugees to free medical insurance.
