In the new academic year, all Donetsk schoolchildren will study full-time. This was announced on August 26 by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"This year, 530 schools and 478 kindergartens will operate full-time. For the first time in a long time, all Donetsk schoolchildren will start full—fledged education," Pushilin said.

He noted that there are difficulties associated with a shortage of cooks and a shortage of water, but outsourcing companies are involved to solve them. Regular water filling for educational institutions will be organized in 4093 installed tanks.

This year, it is also planned to restore 109 educational facilities, which will involve parent committees and teachers.

It is noted that in the frontline areas, where the security situation remains unstable, 52 schools, six colleges and technical schools will continue to operate remotely. These institutions will be restored, and as soon as the operational situation allows, full-time training will be resumed.

On August 26, Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov announced that schools, colleges and kindergartens in the Russian Federation are ready for the start of the school year, and educational institutions have already passed the necessary inspections by relevant agencies. According to him, it is important that the requirements for ensuring the safety of schoolchildren are met.
