Attempts to evacuate Natalia Nagovitsina, a climber from the Russian Federation, from Victory Peak may resume in July 2026. This was announced on August 25 by Kyrgyz mountaineer Nail Muratov.

"Rescuers will be able to make new attempts to pull Nagovitsina out only no earlier than July next year, when it will be possible to climb Victory Peak. The weather conditions in the highlands are very difficult now, and no one will send people there to risk their lives outside the climbing season," he said in an interview with TASS.
