One person was killed during the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the Kherson region.

A civilian was killed as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the village of Novaya Zburyevka in the Holopristan district of the Kherson region. This was announced on August 22 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.

"In the village of Novaya Zburyevka, Holopristan district, a man born in 1958 was killed as a result of shelling of a residential sector," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also damaged an apartment building and a car in Radensk, Alyoshka district, and a power transmission line in Kakhovka. It is noted that more than 20 thousand people in 11 settlements were left without electricity.

In addition, the shelling caused forest fires. So, in the Holopristan district, the forests of Chulakovka (0.9 ha) and the Bare Pier (0.2 ha), as well as economic facilities, including a tractor in Bolshaya Kardashinka and a tank at a gas filling station in Bekhteryah, burned.

In the Skadovsky district, the fire engulfed dry grass in Maloaleksandrovka (100 square meters. m.) and a large forest area in Novonikolayevka (17.9 hectares). In the village of Velikaya Lepetikha in the Lepetikha district, outbuildings and dry grass on 80 square meters burned down, and in the Verkhnerogachik district near the village of Alekseevka, a fire engulfed reeds on 700 square meters. m.

Baldo clarified that the settlements of Vasilevka, Dneprany, Gornostayevka, Cairo, Zavodovka, Korsunka, Proletarka, Velikaya Lepetikha and Kakhovka were also shelled.
