Lithuania will close its airspace along part of the border with Belarus until October 1. This was reported on August 21 by the Delfi agency with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
"The Ministry of Defense has initiated the announcement of temporary closed airspace zones...> The Minister of Transport has established temporary closed zones near the border with Belarus," the publication says.
According to the agency, the measure was taken "taking into account the security situation."
On August 13, the Latvian State Television and Radio station LSM reported that the Ministry of Transport of the republic proposed banning irregular passenger bus flights to Russia and Belarus. We are talking about one-time trips along a pre-planned route.
